Our Animal Caretaker Team is dedicated to providing compassionate, attentive, and professional care for all animals on a daily basis. With extensive experience and a genuine love for animals and nature, our team ensures each pet receives personalized attention, proper nutrition, and a safe environment. We are committed to promoting the health and well-being of every animal under our care, reflecting our passion and responsibility in everything we do.

Ali Mirzaei

Head of department

Ali is an experienced Veterinarian with many years of work in farm animal care and animal clinics across Vancouver, Canada. His deep passion for animals and dedication to their well-being has led him to work with a wide variety of species, gaining extensive hands-on expertise. As Head of Department at UU Family Farm, Ali ensures that every animal receives the highest standard of care, combining professional knowledge with genuine compassion.

Michelle Ye

Animal Caretaker

Michelle has years of experience in animal care, having managed over 3,000 pigs as well as a wide variety of other species. Her hands-on expertise and dedication ensure that every animal receives the proper attention, care, and respect they deserve. At UU Family Farm, Michelle brings both skill and passion to maintaining the health and happiness of all our animals.

Nick Niermeier

Animal Caretaker

Nick is currently pursuing a degree in Animal Biology at UBC, bringing both academic knowledge and hands-on enthusiasm to his work. With a strong interest in the care and understanding of a wide variety of animals, Nick supports the UU Family Farm team in ensuring all our animals are happy, healthy, and well-cared for.

Taylor Scott

Animal Caretaker

Taylor brings years of hands-on experience working with animals and is known for her attentive care. She ensures every animal on the farm feels safe, comfortable, and well-looked-after, making their well-being her top priority.

Oliver Zhou

Animal Caretaker

Oliver combines his farm experience with a passion for animals and nature. Having volunteered at animal shelters, he brings compassion and enthusiasm to UU Family Farm, ensuring each animal receives love, attention, and proper care.
